YES4HOMES Artificial Grass Warranty

7-Year Product Warranty

Important: This warranty applies specifically to eligible YES4HOMES artificial grass products. It does not describe the warranty terms of any other product category.

YES4HOMES provides this voluntary warranty for eligible artificial grass products. It sets out what is covered, for how long, and how to make a claim. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Warranty Scope

This warranty covers eligible YES4HOMES artificial grass products only. Under normal domestic use and service conditions, the products are warranted to be free from material defects in workmanship and materials, and not to suffer excessive UV degradation or abnormal wear of the yarn within the warranty period.

2. Who Can Make a Claim

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only. To make a claim you must provide proof of purchase, the products must have been paid for in full, and the installation, care and maintenance requirements set out below must have been followed.

3. Warranty Period

The warranty period is seven (7) years from the original date of purchase.

4. What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of supply.
  • Excessive UV degradation of the yarn beyond normal fading for Australian conditions.
  • Abnormal wear of the yarn under normal domestic use, where the turf has been installed and maintained as required.
  • Loss of yarn colour beyond normal weathering within the warranty period.
  • Backing or yarn failure that is not caused by installation, site conditions, misuse or external damage.

5. Product-Only Coverage and Pro-Rated Schedule

This is a voluntary product-only warranty. Where a claim is accepted, we may, at our option, supply replacement product or refund the applicable portion of the purchase price paid for the affected product.

Labour, removal, reinstallation, freight, delivery, disposal, contractor charges, equipment hire, site preparation and other project costs are not included, except where a remedy is required under the Australian Consumer Law.

Year of Claim Product-Only Replacement Cover
0-2 years 100%
2-4 years 60%
5-7 years 30%
7 years + 0%

6. Heat and Reflected Sunlight Warning - 400mm Clearance

Important: Keep artificial grass at least 400mm away from glass fencing, glazing and any reflective surface. Melting or distortion from reflected heat is not a product defect and is not covered by this warranty.
  • Maintain a minimum clearance of 400mm between artificial grass and glass fencing, glazing, windows, balustrades or any reflective surface.
  • Reflected and concentrated sunlight from glass or reflective surfaces can reach temperatures high enough to melt or distort synthetic yarn.
  • Where clearance cannot be achieved, use shading, screening, external blinds, awnings, planting, pavers, stone or garden beds in the affected area.
  • Heat, melting and distortion damage from any heat or reflection source is excluded from this warranty.

7. Installation Requirements

Correct installation is a condition of warranty eligibility. Failure to install products as specified may void this warranty. All joins must be pegged or fixed at a maximum of 300mm centres.

  • Prepare a stable, compacted and free-draining base suitable for the site and intended use.
  • Ensure drainage is adequate and the turf does not sit in standing water.
  • Lay a weed membrane where appropriate and remove organic material from the base.
  • Allow the turf to acclimatise and relax before cutting, joining and fixing.
  • Lay all rolls with the pile running in the same direction.
  • Peg or fix all joins at a maximum of 300mm centres.
  • Secure the full perimeter with suitable pegs, nails or adhesive.
  • Apply infill where specified and brush the pile after installation.
  • Follow all supplied installation instructions and applicable site requirements.

8. Care and Maintenance

  • Brush the pile regularly against the grain in high-traffic areas.
  • Remove leaves, debris and organic matter so drainage and ventilation remain unobstructed.
  • Rinse with water as needed and clean spills promptly with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Remove pet waste promptly and rinse the area thoroughly.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents or pressure washing at close range or high pressure.
  • Take reasonable steps to prevent further damage as soon as an issue is discovered.

9. Warranty Claim Procedure

  1. Notify us in writing within the warranty period as soon as reasonably practical after discovering an issue.
  2. Provide the evidence listed below so the claim can be assessed.
  3. Additional information or a site inspection may be requested.
  4. If the claim is valid, the available remedy will be confirmed in line with these warranty terms and the Australian Consumer Law.

Submitting photographs does not guarantee approval or replacement.

10. Evidence Required

  • Full name and business name where applicable.
  • Phone number and email address.
  • Invoice number and order number.
  • Original proof of purchase and purchase date.
  • Product name, pile height, colour and batch information where available.
  • Quantity purchased and quantity affected.
  • Installation address and installation date.
  • Installer details where relevant.
  • A clear description of the issue and the date it was first noticed.
  • Clear close-up and wide photographs showing the complete installation.
  • Photographs showing the base preparation, joins and pegging or fixing.
  • Photographs showing nearby glass, reflective surfaces or heat sources.
  • Video evidence where useful.
  • Maintenance history where relevant.

11. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover product failure, damage or deterioration attributable to:

  • Reflected heat or concentrated sunlight.
  • BBQs, fire pits, heaters, hot ash, cigarettes, fireworks or other heat sources.
  • Chemicals, solvents, oils, paints, pesticides, weedicides, fuels or harsh cleaning products.
  • Improper installation, inadequate base preparation, drainage failure, incorrect joins or insufficient pegging or fixing.
  • Machinery, vehicles, sharp objects, dragging heavy items, tools or excessive point loading.
  • Pets digging, animals, vermin, tree roots or invasive plant growth.
  • Flood, storm, fire, hail, lightning, earthquake or extreme temperature events.
  • Ground movement, subsidence, settling, erosion or failure of the supporting surface.
  • Normal weathering, gradual fading, flattening in high-traffic areas and ordinary wear and tear.
  • Staining or discolouration from dirt, grease, food, drink, mould, mildew or foreign substances.
  • Variations in colour, shade, pile direction or texture between production batches or over time.
  • Improper handling, storage, abuse, neglect or unauthorised alteration.
  • Products that have not been paid for in full.
  • Commercial, sporting or high-traffic public applications unless expressly agreed in writing before purchase.

12. Assessment and Available Remedies

Each claim will be assessed on its merits. Where a claim is valid, we may, at our option, supply replacement product or refund the applicable portion of the purchase price paid for the affected product, in line with the pro-rated schedule above.

This does not limit any remedy you are entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law, including where that law gives you the right to choose the remedy.

13. Colour and Product Availability

An exact colour, pile height or yarn match may not always be available because product ranges may change, manufacturing batches may vary, colours may be discontinued, specifications may be updated, and installed turf may have weathered.

We will use reasonable efforts to supply a comparable replacement product.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This voluntary warranty is provided in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict or modify, any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
